The West Bengal Higher Secondary Council (WBHSC) for HS students would be awarded grades on a seven-point scale for the first time this year. Till last year, the grades were awarded on a five-point scale.

- 60 to 70 (A),
- 45 to 59 (B),
- 30 to 44 (C) and
- scoring below 30 marks get a D
New grading system in WBHSC
- 90 to 100 (AA),
- 75 to 89 (A+),
- 60 to 74 (A),
- 50 to 59 (B+),
- 40 to 49 (B),
- 30 to 39 (C) and
- below 30 marks is D.
